we recently used this company to survey a house we purchased everything was great communication was sound he got there on time, however he somehow manage to miss that the upstairs bathroom had a leak on the main waste pipe toilet/shower/bath (coming from a height) i’m guessing that’s why he recommended getting the drains checked, which we did everything fine but that leak yeah not fine. guessing he tells you that as he/surveyors cba to check (not sure on which) it had also been there for some time as all of the units under the kitchen has been festering in this dirty water for god knows how long, upon receiving the keys, i had noticed a wet patch on the brickwork outside of around 150mm diameter and thought that is not right (caused from the leak making an escape point) maybes previous owners never used the toilet prior to his inspection who knows. i’m not really so sure what surveyors are doin these days on there inspection but surely the money you pay they could like remove the kick boards in a kitchen and check that the plumbing’s correct? maybes too much hard work who knows. like surely you pay them to check these things? as a first time buyer we have learned a whole load of things, personally unless your buying something well aged find a local builder and pay them 1/3 of the amount and ask them to do an inspection you will have better results or if your viewing a home have a good look yourself if you have any experience in a trade you will notice a whole load more problem than what these will tell you for free too. overall disappointing as you expect these simple things to be checked over.
Neil made the whole process as straight forward as possible. He organised the viewing with the estate agents so all you have to do as a customer is wait for the report. Neil gave me a call after the viewing and explained all the main points in brief so i could have peace of mind. When the report came it is very easy to understand and he couldn't be more helpful explaining any queries I had.
Spoke to Neil who told me how the survey was done and answered all my questions. Came round the next day and had the valuation within an hour or two after the appointment. Definitely recommend very friendly and knowledgeable thanks again!

Stay away from this surveying company. They have failed to do basic checks in my survey and it has caused me financial losses. Go with an alternative option even if they're more expensive. You'll save more down the line.Edit: The owner states that the problematic areas were concealed which is not correct and signs of woodworm are obvious even in the photos in the report. Also as a customer I am entitled to write a review based on my experience no matter the outcome of the ombudsman decision.

Got in touch with Neil at the start of September and told him I was in the process of getting my house, I asked for a quote for a level 2 and he was so helpful on the phone, he told me the ins and outs of the survey and promptly sent me the invoice. A few weeks after, I had a message from Neil asking if I was still interested and if I wanted to book in which was great that he asked which I thought was very professional. I got booked in for October and as soon as the survey was done I got a call from Neil explaining everything which was great! We were recommended Neil through the estate agents we are buying with. The appointment was scheduled within a day of me contacting him, and was carried out yesterday.Neil dealt with everything i.e. booking it with the estate agents, and gave me a call minutes after he’d finished the appointment to go through the key points of the report. I then had the report in my emails hours later, all 118 pages of it. The report covered everything we needed and we’re really pleased. It’s put our minds at ease!Trew Surveying were also significantly cheaper than the same report offered by our mortgage lender, which was great.

Neil made the process of getting a help to buy valuation really easy. He contacted me the next working day after I enquired, and booked me in immediately. Reasonably priced, and gave a fair valuation. Talked me through the process too which was really useful! Neil came out before 10am to do the valuation, and sent the full completed report over by 1:45pm. No complaints, I'd recommend Neil.

When I first called Neil to enquire about a survey Neil was very professional and gave me all the information required. Neil kept me informed throughout the process with the survey dates etc…. Could not fault. Came out on very short notice (the same day) as we were in a panic with completion the next day. He was really good with communicating with us and came round as soon as he could.
